Below is a copy of the Own Liability Confirmation that all our passenger sign before taking the trip.  This is meant to alert the client to any possible dangers and to ensure that everyone treats the machines and rules with the respect that is required.

Of own liability on recreational atv/quad trips with Pure Adventures / ATV Iceland in Bolalda area or simply in any area the company is operating on

With your security in mind, we have done everything in our power to ensure that these trips will be enjoyable and safe, and we ask you to confirm the following:

I am taking this trip of my own free will.

I consider myself completely able to take part in this trip.

I have familiarized myself with the operator’s instructions and safety rules and agree to follow them in every aspect.

Operator’s instructions such as: don’t drive faster than the tour guide, drive in straight line after the tour guide, no overtaking, no zig zag, drive on tour guide’s path, have safety helmet on, no free riding, so forth and forth.

I am aware that this trip/these trips can involve some danger.

I have notified the tour guide of any illnesses that could affect my ability to take part in this trip (i.e. epilepsy, asthma, diabetes) and the medication that I take for them.

I am aware that the operator’s liability extends only to accidents that derive from defects in or incorrect use of equipment by the company’s employees and/or carelessness on their part.

I myself bear all responsibility for damage caused by me due to my carelessness or failure to follow set/given/published instructions.

I am liable for all personal property taken by me on this trip.

I am not under the influence of alcohol or intoxicating drugs.

I am in possession of a driver’s license valid for automobiles or motorcycles.

I confirm if I damage the atv/quad bike that I will pay for it on spot after the tour. Own risk fee is ISK 200000 which means that amount is the maximum amount a client needs to pay. ISK 200000 is paid on spot and when repair has been done and the damage is lower then ISK 200000 refund will be made. The only reason why this amount will be bigger is if in fact a client lies and don’t have a driver’s license or where under the influence of alcohol or intoxicating drugs while damaging the atv/quad bike.
